BALANGA CITY, Bataan—-Governor Abet Garcia sees the construction of Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge spur economic growth not just in the province but the entire country.
The governor made the economic projection statement when he and Mariveles Mayor Jocelyn Castaneda met on Tuesday DPWH officials led by Central Office Project Manager Teresita Bauzon in preparation for the massive bridge project.
When the 32-km bridge finished construction, he said the travel time from Bataan to Cavite would just take 30 minutes compared to 5 to 6 hours now traversing through Metro Manila.
He said the bridge project will also provide huge number of jobs as 63,000 skilled and unskilled workers would be needed.
He said the Bataan-Cavite-Bridge Project is only one of the projects being focused upon by the provincial government for greater opportunities and progress for the province.
The governor thanked DPWH for pushing into reality the bridge project.
