Gov. Garcia ensures P4.09B budget for 2026 benefits Bataeños

Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia said the approved ₱4.09-billion budget of the Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB) for 2026 will be monitored strictly for performance and public impact.

During the ceremonial budget signing held today, November 3, at The Bunker, attended by members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bataan presided by Vice Governor Cris Garcia, the Governor said the spending plan is anchored on a meritocracy dashboard that will measure how each department, official, and project performs based on results and not just disbursements.

“We will prioritize programs that enhance the touch points of our people with local government, especially through social and health services, and ensuring peace and order in every community.

Our goal is for every Bataeño to feel that the government is not distant, but present, accessible, compassionate and responsive. To ensure accountability, we will conduct weekly, quarterly monitoring of budget utilization through the Local Finance Committee and the Provincial Development Council”, Gov. Garcia emphasized.
