District hospitals, health workers and other front liners will get a fairly handsome budget of P424.8 million next year out of theP3 billion budget of Bataan in 2021.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan presided by Bataan Vice Gov. Ma. Cristina Garcia approved recently the P3 billion budget for Bataan next year.
Board Member Rey Ibe, chair of Committee on Finance and Appropriation, said government hospitals are going to get good budgetary allotment owing to pandemic situation to cope with the drive to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.
Board Member Godofredo Galicia, Jr., a doctor by profession, who chairs the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Health said budget for hazard pay and special risk allowance for qualified front liners was increased from P1.2 million to P4.8 million for the year 2021. Hazard pay is for employees of provincial health office only.
Health personnel under the Other General Services of the Office of the Governor with a budget of around P100 million this year was increased to P103 million next year.
The JC Payumo District Hospital got a 2021 budget of P111 million; Orani District Hospital, P102 million; Mariveles District Hospital, P67 million; and Bagac Medicare Hospital, P37 million.
