ORANI, Bataan – The municipal government of this town headed by Mayor Benjie Serrano, Jr. recently announced the increase in the community development fund (CDF), honoraria and allowances for the 29 villages here.

Speaking before barangay officials, senior citizens, barangay watchmen and health workers, Serrano said that from P150,000 CDF, each barangay will now receive P400,000.

Also, the allowances of health workers and senior citizen officials will be increased to further help them in their daily expenses. The barangay tanods’ (watchmen) honorarium was also increased from P900 to P1,200 per month.

”As our municipality progresses, our people especially those in public services deserve to have their share of these blessings too for them to always be inspired to serve our people well,” Serrano told reporters.

Meanwhile, Serrano also announced that starting January 2015, all barangay halls here will have free wireless fidelity (WiFi) services to speed up information dissemination from the municipal level down to the barangays.
