Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Abucay, Bataan will be holding its yearly fun-run for a cause in Balanga City this year on January 31 entitled, ‘LetRun Bataan 2015: iRun. iCare’.

The fund-raising will be for the Dominican priests’ mission in Camiguin Norte as they help children gain access to education given the present conditions of this community, as well as in administering a mission church and a high school in two of the islands in the Babuyanes.

“Apart from promoting fitness among the Letran community, we also want to imbibe to our students the importance of social responsibility.” said Asst. Prof. Ma. Cristina Mirania, Office of the Student and Cultural Affairs director of the school.

Organized by one of its recognized student organizations, Letran Earth Awareness Force, the activity co-incides with the school’s 9th founding anniversary.

The single-distance run would start at the Plaza Mayor de Balanga, going through Capitol Drive, Tenejero, Don Manuel Banzon Avenue and back to the starting point.

Registration is at the Letran Bataan campus until January 21, 2015 and may also be coursed through its students and employees.
