LIMAY, BataanThe Department of Education (DepEd) here lauded the educational projects and programs being implemented by the municipal government to raise the standards of learning for their students in all levels.

Mrs. Teresita R. Ordiales, DepEd Limay District Supervisor in an interview with the local press here said Limay’s vision for their students is at par with DepEd’s. Yung mga nakaplano sa amin sa DepEd ginagawa na ngayon dito,” Ordiales said.

This coming school year 2016-2017, computer tablets will be distributed initially to more than 5000 selected public school students for their e-learning and modernization program. Limay allotted almost half a million peso monthly budget for utilities and janitors in all their public schools to help them maintain the cleanliness of school offices, classrooms and comfort rooms.

Traditionally, teachers assigned their students some tasks in cleaning the classrooms, maintaining the school garden and other light chores as part of their discipline and learning process.

“Hindi namin pinaglilinis ng classrooms ang mga estudyante namin dito para nakafocus lang sila sa pag aaral. That is why we hire utility workers and allotted budget for them to do these jobs,” Mayor Roque told

At present there are 83 utility workers deployed in all 19 public schools within the municipality.
