Mariveles shines in national fiscal awards

The Municipal Government of Mariveles was recognized at the 38th Anniversary Stakeholders’ Recognition of the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) held on November 5, 2025, at the SM Aura SMX Convention Center.

Mariveles earned the Rank 2 spot among the Top 10 Municipalities for Local Source Revenues and Rank 3 among the Top 10 Performing Municipalities based on the ratio of Local Revenues to Total Current Operating Income for Fiscal Year 2024. The recognition highlights the town’s strong fiscal performance and efficient local revenue generation.

Mayor AJ Concepcion, together with Vice Mayor Jesse Concepcion, Councilor Jun Villapando, Municipal Treasurer Erwin Villapando, and Municipal Assessor Engr. Chito Riego De Dios, represented Mariveles during the awarding.

The BLGF recognition serves as a testament to the local government’s transparent and responsible management of public funds, ensuring that every peso collected contributes to the town’s continued growth and development.
