CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Resolute in his faith in the dedication, productivity and efficiency of the provincial government’s workforce, Governor Abet Garcia has been unwavering in his efforts to sustain and even bring these traits to the highest level, hence his decision to embark on the Performance Governance System journey with the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) wherein Bataan has successfully hurdled 2 of the 4 stages towards institutionalization.
Steadfast in his commitment to lead the province towards and beyond the institutionalization stage, Gov. Abet tirelessly rallies the Provincial Capitol employees to continuously deliver excellent public service that will ultimately result to a better quality life for all Bataenos.
A firm believer in the principle that happy and stress free employees deliver better results, the dynamic governor is likewise cognizant of the prevailing complexities of life, brought by poverty, unemployment, calamities, soaring prices of commodities and basic necessities, not to mention the demands of modern living hounding the majority of the Filipinos. Hence life can be perceived as difficult, peace of mind can be evasive and stress can set in.
Trapped in this tight spot, we need to find a way out, and that way out is a sound structural financial plan that will help us set our personal finances in order, take full control of our finances and make our hard earned money work efficiently for us.
In view of the above, the Provincial Government, through the Human Resource Management Office organized a capability building training on financial management aptly titled “Roadmap to Financial Freedom” held today at the Bulwagan ng Bayan 2, Capitol compound.
To guide the capitol employees in their journey towards financial freedom is one of the country’s most sought after speaker and top financial analyst, planner and advisor, Mr. Rex A. Mendoza.
A Business Administration graduate of the University of the Philippines, major in Marketing and Finance, and an AIM (Asian Institute of Management) master’s degree holder in Business Management, Mr. Mendoza is a certified investment solicitor, a registered financial planner and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Philam Life. Married to the former Ms. Ana Garcia, daughter of 2nd District Congressman Tet Garcia, Rex also teaches at the De La Salle University, Graduate School of Business and serves as Chairman of the school’s Marketing Department. Just recently, he received the Young Entrepreneur Award during the Asean Business Awards.
Module 1 of today’s training, The Most Common Errors in Spending is focused on bad spending habits, wrong investments and tapping of resources. Module 2, Choice of Sources of Funds, Investments, Management of Cash and Financial Controls zero in on goal setting, judicious use of capital, financial assessment and planning.
