BALANGA CITY, Bataan -The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will build a transmission reinforcement project in the province in anticipation of new power generation in the area. New power plants in the province are expected to operate in the coming few years.
Fely Francisco, NGCP Regional Corporate Communication Officer, said during an interview at 91.1 Sikat FM, this city, the transmission company will build Bataan 230 kV Reinforcement Project to accommodate new power generation.
She also said the transmission company will be building the 500 kV Castillejos-Hermosa transmission line and the 69 kV Floridablanca-Hermosa line project.
She said the Castillejos-Hermosa transmission line will cater to new power generators in Zambales. On the other hand, the Hermosa-Floridablanca line project aims to relieve the overloading of the existing Hermosa-Guagua line.
Francisco said they are in the preconstruction phase of the three transmission projects that include getting right of way, permits, and other documentation.
She said the transmission projects are all aimed at providing reliable and efficient power supply in the Luzon grid.
