Paguia receives PFPA Distinction Award

Dr. Hermogenes Paguia, Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services is recipient of 2020 Philippine Federation of Professional Associations (PFPA) Distinction Award for the Agriculturist Profession.

He was project leaders of many agricultural research and extension projects and has authored or co-authored agriculture research studies. He has attended many international and national leadership and agricultural research conferences. He has been invited as a resource speaker at various national conventions.
For more than a decade, he is leading the research on mango production in Central Luzon. With his research initiatives in the mango industry, Bataan Mango Development Council is in fact currently being formed in the province.

Paguia’s paper “Improvement of Mango Production through Science and Technology Innovations and Support Mechanisms for Capacity Development in Bataan and Zambales” is one of the two finalists in PCAARRD Best Research and Development Paper Development Category this year 2020.

PFPA was formed in 1978 to bind all professional organizations for expediency in coordination and cooperation.
In 2005, the PFPA Excellence Awards was established to serve as an inspiration to member-professionals to excel in their chosen fields of endeavor as well as motivate them to give their very best for the country.
