PENELCO, bags major awards

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Peninsula Electric Cooperative (PENELCO) bagged almost all the prestigious awards given by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) this year after surpassing a track record of all electric cooperatives in Luzon.

The NEA Board of Administrators gave the “Diamond General Manager Award” to Engr. Marcelino for his untiring efforts and commitment to the rural electrification programs, consistent exemplary leadership qualities and achievements in managing a cooperative thereby leading to its unsurpassed track record which makes a difference and serves as inspiration to others.”

Given last December 2, 2015 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) and
signed by Edita Bueno, Administrator and Board member, and DOE Secretary and NEA board chairman Zenaida Monsada.

Aside from the Diamond GM award, PENELCO also bested the following awards: Lowest System Loss in Luzon, Grand Diamond Electric Cooperative Award, and Diamond Electric Cooperative Award.
