PGB partners with ARTA for faster and efficient public service delivery

To strengthen measures in delivering faster and more efficient public services in the province, the Provincial Government of Bataan forged a partnership with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

The MOA was signed by Governor Jose Enrique “Joet” Garcia III and ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez during the latter’s visit at the Bunker on February 26. A key provision of the agreement is the establishment of an ARTA Satellite Office inside the 1Bataan One-Stop Service Center for OFWs (1BOSSCO) aimed at bringing ARTA services closer to residents.

Perez said ARTA will adopt 1BOSSCO as a model for Business One-Stop Shops in other provinces nationwide, citing Bataan’s initiatives to make government transactions simpler, faster, and more reliable, following a discussion with District Representative Albert “Abet” Garcia.

Also held on the same day was Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting where Perez presented ARTA’s major initiatives intended to improve service delivery. He also urged participating representatives from local government units and national government agencies in Bataan to take an active role in strengthening public service processes and systems.

During the said activity, ARTA and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)–Bataan Chapter signed a Memorandum of Understanding recognizing PCCI-Bataan as an ARTA Champion. The MOU was signed by PCCI-Bataan former president Bryan Joseph Banzon on behalf of PCCI-Bataan.

Also present during the event were Bataan 3rd Congressional District Representative Gila Garcia, Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Jernie Jett Nisay, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, ARTA Undersecretary Lea-Grace Salcedo, and other officials.
