Atty Chris Ian M. Silva, Bataan Provincial Election Supervisor IV (COMELEC) has expressed appreciation in the active participation and support of the Bataan PNP headed by P Col Palmer Tria, in a joint meeting in preparations for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, held in Pilar last August 9.

COMELEC Supervisor Silva also stressed that, not only peace and order will be prioritized during the election but also the integrity of the electoral process and protection of the rights of the voters.

PCol Palmer Tria likewise emphasized the collaboration and coordination among different agencies involved in the electoral process with the ultimate goal of a peaceful, orderly and credible election. He also highlighted the role of the police force in ensuring the safety and security of the voting public, the candidates and the election officials.

Also present during the joint meeting were, all Chief of Police and Force Commanders, Phil. Army, PCG, PNP- SAF, PNP Maritime and all the Election Officers in the different municipalities and lone city of the Province. The attendees agreed that the joint meeting was a productive and meaningful one, as it was able to discuss and identify key issues and challenges that need to be addressed prior to, during and after the election. It also sealed the commitment of both PNP and COMELEC officials to ensure a safe and secure electoral process in the Province.
