The highlights of the seminar are the open forum devoted to questions of the participants at the end of every discussion. Some of the concerns raised during the forum where simulated births and standard annotations on Republic Act 9255 and 9858.
Ms. Marilyn C. Cruz, BLCR President and Balanga City Civil Registrar welcomed the guest and participants of the activity. Ms. Ledesma L. Morante, Bataan Provincial Statistics Officer delivered an inspirational message that ensures her support to all programs and projects of the league which are in line with improving the people’s awareness on the importance of civil registration. Aptly, this year’s theme is “Ikaw at Ako Tungo sa Wastong Pagrerehistro”.
The annual celebration is observed since President Corazon C. Aquino proclaimed February of every as Civil Registration Month under Proclamation No. 682. For its part, the BLCR holds an activity every year that also serves as an assembly for LCRO employees in the province. This seminar is the only activity they conducted together after the month long undertaking of mobile registrations, information dissemination and mass wedding in their respective municipalities.
Mr. Edgardo Ventura, Abucay Municipal Civil Registrar served as the day’s master of ceremonies.
