Orientation for child protection, governance held

ORION, Bataan-About 30 officials and residents of Barangay Bilolo, Orion town  underwent over the weekend an orientation on child-friendly governance at thebarangay hall here.

Brgy. Captain Reynaldo Baluyot said it is vital to protect the children starting from the conception of the mother up to growing up.

Among those who attended the orientation were councilors of the Barangay, health workers, teacher, peace and order council, and students among others.

This orientation was led by the supportive Provincial Council for the Welfare of Children.

Meanwhile, a protection scheme for the children was also  discussed.

“Be protected against abuse, exploitation, neglect, violence and danger. “

This is one of the rights of a child which was discussed to the officials of Barangay Bilolo, Orion town by Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head Marilyn Tigas.

She said children have the right to be defended and given assistance by government, and obtain good education and develop full potential.

The DSWD program was being supported by Gov Abet S Garcia.

The orientation on child friendly governance was led by the Provincial Council for the Welfare of Children with members PIA, PESO.
