In his desire to continue the Provincial Governmentโ€™s tradition of sharing during the Christmas season, more so during this time when we are battling a pandemic caused by COVID-19, Gov. Abet decided to push through with the annual Pamaskong Handog program, but this year, it is dubbed as โ€œTulong Mula sa Pamahalaanโ€.

In a meeting attended by ABC presidents, department heads of the Provincial Government of Bataan, and other stakeholders, it has been agreed that:

1.Every household will be entitled to gift packs, notwithstanding their social status simply because everybody was affected by the pandemic.

2.Requisition Issuance Slips (RIS) will be distributed in advance by the respective Punong Barangays to be filled up and signed by the recipients. On the day of distribution, residents will put a chair in front of their houses together with the RIS, to avoid physical contact.

3.Distribution per municipality will follow the scheme used in the distribution of 25kgs of rice during the ECQ.

Residents in the municipalities of Pilar, Dinalupihan, and the City of Balanga will receive additional gift packs coming from their respective local government units.

The office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development under Mrs. Marilyn Tigas is still in charge of the distribution, but this year, at least 2 to 3 employees from each department of the PGB will help and participate in the task, to live up to the spirit of Bayanihan.
