Two livestock firms invest P800 million in Orion

ORION, Bataan – Mayor Antonio L. Raymuno,Jr. has expressed his optimism of the  promising  agricultural progress  of  the fishing town with the operations of the San Miguel Corporation, the  country’s biggest food conglomerate, in  poultry and breeding farms and the  upcoming  participation of Bounty Fresh Group of Companies 

Raymundo said about P 800 million investment inflows are expected to create job opportunities and heighten business growth in the locality with the entry of the two reliable suppliers of chicken products.

He stressed the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) is upgrading the town’s land use and comprehensive plan in preparation for the big leap of economic activities this year.

The plan would determine the suitable locations for business, educational, housing projects, residential, hospital and other medical services and agro-industrial sites.

At present, the SMC has established a poultry livestock farm with eleven (11) buildings and highly-technical facilities in its 100 hectare land located in the upland village of General Lim, this town adjacent to the foot of historic Mount Samat shrine.

Raymundo enumerated the advantages of the municipality of Orion with some 42,000 hectares of agricultural land and coastline for shipping venture as the appropriate eco-industrial location  in Bataan.

He added the SMC owned another 20 hectare of land in the coastal village of Puting Buhangin, where the former Pulong Bato Resort was located, and near the Ferry boat terminal .
