USAID, PBSP provide free chest check-up to Dinalupiheños

To further respond to the threat brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia coordinated with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to provide free chest x-ray and check-up to Dinalupiheños from December 7 to 9.

“Ang pinakamagaling na panglaban ay ang palakasin ang katawan” Mayor Gila said as she highlighted the efforts of the Province and the municipality in responding to health and medical needs of Bataeños especially in preventing possible health risks in the community.

‘Tibay ng Dibdib’ story books were also distributed to children for the ‘Isang aklat, Isang libong bata, Isang libong buhay’ project which tells true-to-life stories of kids diagnosed with Tuberculosis and recovered.

After going to five barangays in Dinalupihan (Payangan, Bayan-bayanan, Tubo-tubo, Pita, Roosevelt) and attended to approximately 1,000 patients, Governor Abet Garcia is hopeful that said services could also be availed by Bataenos in other municipalities.
