No rice hoarding in Bataan, Says NFA

   CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan- To ensure sufficient rice supply in Bataan, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) based here is scouring the Province to look into possible hoarding and jacking up of prices of rice, even as a top official of the National Food Authority (NFA) Bataan said that there is no reported case of rice hoarding in the Province.

Unang organic trading post sa Bataan inilunsad

LUNGSOD NG BALANGA, Bataan – Inilunsad nitong nagdaang Biyernes sa Lungsod na ito ang unang organic trading post sa Lalawigang ito upang himukin ang mga residente na tangkilikin ang mga aning prutas at gulay na ginamitan ng mga organic materials, gayun din ang iba pang magsasaka na gumamit na rin ng organic materials sa kanilang mga pananim.

Sa isinagawang paglulunsad, sinabi ni Balanga City Vice-Mayor Noel Valdecanas na “Go organic farming out of love for the environment” at “Ang paggamit ng kemikal  ay hindi lamang masama sa katawan ng tao kundi maging sa kalikasan”.

Libreng school supplies program now on its 4th year

Since its first year of implementation in 2011, the Provincial Government of Bataan, has been distributing school supplies to all public pre-elementary, elementary and high school students all over the Province. Supplies include: 4 pcs writing notebooks and 4 pencils for pre-elementary; 6 writing notebooks and 6 pencils for grades 1-3; 4 composition notebooks, 4 writing notebooks and 8 ball pens for grades 4-6; 8 spiral notebooks and 8 ball pens for high school.

NFA INCREASES NUMBER OF ACCREDITED RETAIL OUTLETS, RICE ALLOCATION

The National Food Authority – Bataan Provincial Office announced the additional number of NFA accredited retail outlets in the province as well as the increased number of rice allocation for their accredited retailers. 

The agency now has a total of eighty (80) accredited retail outlets, a considerable increase from its previous fifty (50) accredited retailers, located in various major and minor public markets throughout the province, including wet markets (talipapa).

   CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan- Sr. Supt. Flynn Dongbo, assumed yesterday the post of Officer in Charge of the Bataan Provincial Police Office, replacing Sr. Supt. Audie  Atienza who retired yesterday after reaching the mandatory age of 56.

Consistent with one of the major thrusts of the Garcia administration which is Education for All, among their major educational programs are the Iskolar ng Bataan with 12,000 college students as beneficiaries every year; Gurong Iskolar or scholarships for teachers taking their masters and doctorate degrees; and free school supplies for public elementary and high school students.
