CSS Morante emphasized in her message to the SRs during the Third Level Training of 2018 July LFS and FIES 2018, “Provincial level estimates for these surveys have been long requested by LGUs nationwide, including our Gov. Albert Raymond S. Garcia. We have to do our best to come up with reliable results.”
The Third Level Training of 2018 July LFS and FIES 2018, where the field enumerators underwent lectures, mock interviews and actual demonstration on the use of android was held at Raven Resort, Abucay from July 2 to 7, 2018.
The LFS is a nationwide quarterly survey of households conducted by PSA to gather data on demographic and socio economic characteristics of the population
The FIES is a nationwide survey of household undertaken every three years. It is the main source of data on family income and expenditure data, which include sources of income in cash and in kind. The results of FIES provide information on the levels of living and spending patterns, and disparities of income of Filipino families; provide benchmark information to update the weights used in the estimation of Consumer Price Index (CPI); and provide inputs in the estimation of the country’s poverty threshold and incidence.
The collection period is from July 9 to 31, 2018.
