NGCP to conduct training for energy information officers

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will conduct communication training for energy information officers in the provinces Bataan and Zambales.

“We want to help energy information officers communicate better with the electric consuming public”, said NGCP Regional Corporate Communication Officer Fely Francisco.

“The training also aims to help them to always provide timely and accurate information to the public”, Francisco added.

Information officers and personnel of PENELCO, ZAMECO I, ZAMECO II, OEDC, and other companies in the power industry will be invited in the training. It will be held next month in Subic.

PIA Bataan Manager JM Garcia will be resource speaker in the training.

“NGCP and PIA recognize the important role of electric cooperatives in our daily lives. We aim to bring them closer to the people and the people closer to them through fast and reliable communication”, commented Garcia.

The electric transmission company is also working closely with the local media for effective power reporting and accurate information dissemination. NGCP Bataan Energy Press Corps was formed recently.
