Garcia is opting to upgrade the monitoring system of the province’s vital road network and deployment of mobile law enforcement teams along the stretch of the three coastal towns of Mariveles, Bagac and Morong for the safety and protection of visitors and tourism industry entrepreneurs.
Governor Garcia highlighted the importance of installing high-tech traffic facilities in Bataan’s two major access roads, Roman Expressway and Mariveles-Bagac road, and modernization of the 1Bataan Command Center equipment here to supervise the smooth flow of goods and services, transport of raw materials and finished products in and out of the province’s ecozones, delivery of basic socio-health services to the countryside and safety of visitors and foreign guests in Bataan peninsula.
He explained the completion of the concreting of 44-kilometer Mariveles-Bagac road facing the splendid scenery of the West Philippine Sea would serve as motivating factor to prospective investors to participate in the development expansion scheme of the local tourism industry.
The Governor described the improvement of traffic monitoring capability and street lighting would reinforce the establishment of world-class beach resorts, health and retirement villages in the province.
During the joint Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) meeting held recently at 1Bataan Command Center in this town, Governor Garcia said being a peninsula with several ecozones, the province’s geographical location is already an attractive investment hub and preferable tourist destination in Central Luzon.
While we are able to strike a harmonious balance between promoting industrial progress and maintaining peaceful and business-friendly environment, both are relatively essential to sustainable growth, Governor Garcia added.
