BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The widening of the province’s main road artery and installation of intelligent streetlights facilities of the 68 kilometer Roman Expressway have positive influence toward workable eco-tourism growth.
Board Member Jose C. Villapando, Sr., Chair of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Committees on Senior Citizen, Cooperative, Transportation and Communication has reiterated the importance of having a modern six-lane expressway and newly-installed streetlights luminaries with arm accessories for more productive features in the promotion of profitable eco-tourism goal and beneficial impact to investment.
The provincial board member has emphasized the budgetary allocation of P 16.7 million for the purchase of electrical materials consist of 875 units of electrical streetlights luminaries with arm accessories to be used for the Roman Expressway project from a section in Dinalupihan to Mariveles towns.
The installation of Smart or intelligent streetlights is a joint undertakings by the provincial government and the Peninsula Electric Cooperative ,Inc.(PENELCO) for the safety and protection of thousands of daily commuters, cargo haulers, petroleum tankers and effective traffic monitoring groundworks.
The road expansion is directly intended to hasten the flow of fuels, grains, imported raw materials for distribution to the local manufacturing and commercial industries located in Central and Northern Luzon areas
Several port terminal and depots located in Mariveles and Limay are being utilized by importers and brokers as convenient exit routes for their imported goods to escape from heavily congested traffic scenario in Metro Manila port terminals.
