FAB buildings sturdy, safe- report

MARIVELES, Bataan – The buildings and structures within the Freeport Area of Bataan are generally sturdy and are secure, safe and habitable.
This was the detailed report submitted by the Freeport facilities department (FFD) to the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan Chair and Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda for further assessment and evaluation.
Hazel Keith, AFAB information writer, said recommendations shall be discussed with the building owners and lessees.
The AFAB, however, urged the FAB registered enterprises, building owners and residents within the Freeport to check the integrity of their respective buildings and structures that they occupy and also advised them to report concerns and possible damages.
To ensure public safety, the AFAB through its FFD and infrastructure maintenance division conducted inspection of buildings within the FAB on April 23-24 following the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that struck Luzon last April 22.
