CAMP TOLENTINO, Bataan – Different types of firearms and ammunition were presented to the media Monday as the local police command continues its campaign against loose firearms.
According to P/Col. Villamor Tuliao, Bataan police director, confiscation of unlicensed firearms in different towns of Bataan has been a continuing campaign by the local command to maintain peace and order in Bataan.
“Our thrust now is to bring out resources in order to make our presence felt in the province. We have yet to conduct more operations to flush out criminals and holders of unlicensed firearms,” Col. Tuliao told the media during the press briefing.
Confiscated firearms were from Limay, Orion, Mariveles and Dinalupihan towns. At least six persons were arrested during the recent police operation and the suspects are undergoing investigation, he said.
Tuliao added that those arrested are also being investigated for possible involvement in illegal drugs dealing.
