AFAB Bags Silver Award in ARTA Report Card Survey

The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) has earned a Silver Award from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) after receiving a “Very Satisfactory” rating in the 2024 Report Card Survey (RCS) 2.0, recognizing its strong adherence to the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law and efficient service delivery.

The award was formally presented on October 23, 2025, at Conrad Manila, during ARTA’s annual recognition ceremony honoring government agencies that excel in promoting transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric services. The event highlighted institutions that have successfully streamlined their processes to better serve the public and investors.

AFAB’s Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) Chairperson and Deputy Administrator for Support Services Malou L. Herrera, Deputy Administrator for Operations Atty. Michael Angelo G. Paderanga, and Head Executive Assistant Maria Loretta R. Quicho personally received the award on behalf of the agency. Their presence reflected AFAB’s continued dedication to implementing reforms that promote good governance and ease of doing business within the Freeport.

The recognition marks a milestone achievement for AFAB, which was among 904 government agencies evaluated nationwide in the RCS 2.0. The survey assessed service quality, transaction speed, and accessibility, all aimed at improving the overall experience of clients availing of government services.

The Silver Award serves as a testament to AFAB’s ongoing commitment to efficient, transparent, and responsive public service. The agency reaffirmed its mission to further enhance its processes and sustain its role as a model of good governance in promoting business growth and investment in the Freeport Area of Bataan.
