After the ATM, comes the CDM at the Balanga City public market

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – After the successful installation of the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Balanga City Public Market recently, here comes the clamor of business groups for a cash deposit machine (CDM) also at the said public market, according to Landbank Balanga Branch Manager Nenita  C. Lopez.

According to Ms. Lopez, Balanga Public Market is not only a convenient place for Balanga residents to buy their wet and dry goods, but has now become an added destination for many tourists visiting Bataan to buy famous Bataan products like tuyo, tinapa, boneless bangus, bagoong and others.

Ms. Lopez added that City Mayor Francis Garcia, saw the need to make it easier and safer for these tourists to purchase goods using ATM cards instead of cash, thus Balanga LGU requested Landbank to put up an ATM machine at the public market, shouldering the electricity costs and the CCTV for said machine 24/7.

Further, Manager Lopez  said that there is now a request from the businessmen at the public market to also install a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) to allow them to deposit their earnings immediately right after their market business day for security reasons.

Once this materializes hopefully before the year ends, Landbank will be the first bank to install a Cash Deposit Machine in this City, as they are still busy putting up more ATM’s in different LGU’s in the province aside from their already installed ATM’s in strategic places in Balanga City.
