“Ayoko talaga sa pulitika, pero dahil tinatawag tayo ng tungkulin, dahil mahal natin ang Bataan, kakayanin natin lahat ng hirap para sa pagmamahal natin sa Bataan.” 1st District Board Member Reynaldo T. Ibe Jr. told 1Bataan as he shares stories of his life.

This 44-year old father of three from Orani, Bataan was born on May 24, 1972 and married to Maridel Baluyot. The couple currently resides at Nora Ville Subdivision, Kawayan Street, Brgy. Tugatog, Orani, together with their children John Carlo Rey, Rhea Marie and Kim Carol.

Unknown to many, during his elementary days at Pantalan Luma Elementary School, he sold peanuts, pichi-pichi and the likes to his classmates and schoolmates during recess time to augment his “baon”.

While in high school, he became a baker boy in Mulawin, a known bakery in the City of Balanga. To continue his studies in college and pursue his diploma in BS in Accountancy, he worked as a “konduktor” in a mini bus from Balanga to San Fernando, Pampanga and vice versa. He used his earnings for his studies until he completed college in 1996 at the Bataan National School for Filipino Craftsmen.

BM Ibe thinks leadership is innate in him because since elementary and high school, he was an officer in the student council. Also, in 1992, he became the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman of

Brgy. Pantalan Luma, and that started his political journey. In the year 1997, he served as a Brgy. Kagawad and a municipal councilor in 1998 to 2004. Also, from 2001 to 2004, he served as the president of the Philippine Councilors League Bataan Chapter. Presently, he is a Board Member since 2013.

In his first term, he chaired the committee on Justice, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Trade, Commerce and Industry, and the Youth and Sports. Currently, he is the chairman of Education Committee and retained chairmanship in the Justice Committee.

BM Ibe extended his service to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Bataan by providing inmates educational services thru ALS or Alternative System tied up with DepED Bataan. Since 2013, they already have a total of 211 inmates who graduated in the program.

This man with strong affirmation and vows to fight for the right thing said that he will do everything to help his kababayans not just because he wanted them to vote for him but because he believes that is the right thing to do. Indeed, all for the love of Bataan.
