Aquino, Garcias, to lead upcoming Youth Congress

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – It was confirmed by Jester Ivan Ricafrente, Director for Youth External Affairs of Mariveles, that they are expecting Senator Bam Aquino, Gov. Abet Garcia and Cong. Joet Garcia to lead the launching ceremony on the two-day Youth Congress come Jan. 21-22, 2017.

The organizers said that they chose for their guests, the likes of Sen. Aquino, Gov. Abet and Cong. Joet precisely because, these personalities have started their careers at a young age and with good accomplishments and they believe that they can give the right motivations and interests that will inspire the youth to strive harder.

On the other hand, Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion said that with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) before, they didn’t have a hard time assessing the needs of the youth, but since SK is no longer active, they thought of organizing the Youth Congress in the formulation of the Youth Development Plan of Mariveles.

Mayor Concepcion also added that the very essence of the Youth Congress is a two-way approach wherein they can get the insights from the youth and at the same time their participation and contribution to the Youth Development Plan.

Likewise, Mayor Ace reiterated that no matter how much the local government have given for the best programs for the youth, if the problems are coming from the family itself, then it will be hard for them to really overcome the problem. Hence, the need, first and foremost, is to have a good family relationship of which Gov. Abet and Cong. Joet are initiating in their programs for a strong community and the province as a whole.
