AFAB investment pledges surge to over P83.96bn in H1

MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) generated nearly Php83.96 billion in committed investments in the first half of 2014, over 138,000 percent higher compared to the pledges that it recorded in the same period last year.

The AFAB attracted a total of Php83,958,505,566.00 worth of projects from January to June this year, exceeding its Php60,550,00.00 investment portfolio in the same six-month period in 2013. 

AFAB holds labor compliance seminar

   MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), in coordination with the Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Labor Standards Compliance Zone, conducted a seminar on basic labor standards, a program that sought to apprise foreign locators of their rights and responsibilities under the Philippine Labor Code.

AFAB boosts ties with South Korea, inks KCCP deal

MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) strengthened its cooperation with South Korea with the recent signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Korean Chamber of Commerce Philippines (KCCP), Inc.

The MOA between the AFAB and the KCCP aims to establish a strong partnership toward the promotion and development of trade and commerce in the FAB through coordination with Korean corporations and individuals.

Hotel Groundbreaking paves way for more devt, jobs in the FAB

The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) and LKY Group made official the construction of the largest hotel in the Freeport with a groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by government officials, locators, various media agencies and other stakeholders.
