Philippine Navy invites Bataeños to be reservists

   CITY OF BALANGA – Physically fit men and women from Bataan, which is known as training ground of caliber naval stalwarts, are invited to join the Philippine Navy Reserve Force.

   The Philippine Navy is offering free military uniform and subsistence allowance in selected Reservist Training Program, leadership and skills training, opportunity for career advancement, and the chance to serve the country.

Orion to hold free prostate screening

   ORION, Bataan – This municipality will be holding a free prostate screening on August 28 in a move to curb the number of males suffering from prostate cancer, the second most common cancer type among Filipino men. The screening and free provision of medicine will be held at the Municipal Health Center from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Digital rectal examination and consultation for urinal problems can also be availed.

Youth groups in Bataan invited to join biggest dance off

CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – Are you part of a dance group who wants to perform in Smart Araneta Coliseum and bring home up to P4 million worth of prizes? Then, holler your group and set up the camera for the online audition to book your way in the biggest inter-school dance competition brought by Smart Communications, the Jump In Dance Off 2.

Youth groups in Bataan are invited to join in the three categories, namely elementary, high school, and college accredited by the Commission on Higher Education. “We would like to provide a creative venue for the students to bring out their passion and love for art,” said community marketing supervisor Buena Alfonso who visited the Bataan Peninsula State University.

2 more negative tests, Bataan will be free from red tide

CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – The water test this week off Samal town’s waters turned out negative, drawing hopes for a waited ending to the longest red tide phenomenon in Bataan history.

The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) disclosed that the water sample from Samal, which is the remaining town in Bataan affected by red tide, turned out negative August 5. This means that two more consecutive weeks of negative tests and the nightmare of fishermen and the consuming public will be over.
