HERMOSA, Bataan — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is seeking the approval from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for a high priority project which will ease the imminent congestion of the Hermosa – Guagua 69-kiloVolt (kV) transmission line by constructing the 17-kilometer Hermosa – Floridablanca line.
Ernest Vidal, the regional corporate communications officer for Central Luzon, in a press statement, said that the approval of the Prayer for Provisional Authority will also enable the system operator to expand its Hermosa substation located in Barangay Balsik, this town.
The existing Hermosa – Guagua line currently serves Pampanga II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PELCO II), which is forecasted to significantly increase in peak load by 2020.
