Balanga City, 1st CPR-ready LGU in the country

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Philippine Heart Association heralded Balanga City yesterday morning (March 8) as the first cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) -Ready local government unit in the country.

Mayor Francis Garcia, who gives high priority on various health programs in the city, received the prestigious award at the Crown Royale Hotel, this City which cites Balanga City as a leader in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and health emergency readiness.

The Crown Royale Hotel also received an award for being the first CPR-Ready Hotel in Central Luzon.
The provincial government headed by Gov. Abet S. Garcia is pushing for a higher life expectancy among the Bataeños in its bid to achieve a better quality of life for all.

Meanwhile, the Balanga City Tourism Council held a meeting at the city library to discuss the upcoming Araw ng Kagitingan and Pistang Balangueño activities.

Among the activities lined up for said events are the 12th Padyakan, Bataan Freedom Run, Galing Bataan Trade Fair, Parade of Floats and Bands, Freedom Trail Bike Tour, Banga Festival, Mrs. OFW, Dangal Balangueño, Mutya ng Balanga, and nightly programs.
