Bataan coastal areas to boost travel and tourism industry

BAGAC, Bataan – About 100 kilometers of classified as underdeveloped coastal areas of this town are rich potential for tourism industry enterprises and healthy housing resorts hub in Central Luzon.

Nick S. Ancheta, Bagac municipal administrator, has disclosed that these areas located in the coastal villages of Quinawan, Paisawan and Saysain may be transformed as smaller versions of the world famous Boracay-island resort.

About 45 kilometer segment of the shorelines provide romantic scenery of the West Philippine Sea which are suited for development into a premier health tourism destination and marine life sanctuary.

Bagac with sprawling heritage resort, Las Casas Filipina de Acuzar, Montemar Beach Resort, Japanese Friendship Tower  and  other  World War II battle sites  which serve as inspiring synergy to travel and tourism growth, Ancheta said.

Ancheta explained that Bagac Mayor Louise Gabriel Q. del Rosario and the municipal tourism council are determined to expand and develop these coastal areas into ecotourism and ecological sites giving emphasis on the historical value attributed to the significant role of the residents and the place to delay the Japanese occupation of the country during the World War II.

He said there are proposals from the country’s leading commercial, housing and resort property developers from Metro Manila to put up hotel and resort projects as major tourist centers to diversify its revenue earning blueprints.

The pristine sea waters and fine sand beaches are good for surfing and diving enthusiasts to discover the marine resources of the town’s unspoiled nature’s bounties.
