PILAR, Bataan – Mayor Alice D. Pizarro of this agricultural town expressed her gratitude to Interior Secretary Mar Roxas for allocating one Mahindra-type police patrol vehicle for more effective and efficient crime–busting, rescue and emergency operations for the use of one of the premier historical landmarks in the country.
The historical Mount Samat National Shrine is located in Bataan’s agricultural town of Pilar, one of the ten towns in the province who personally received from Secretary Roxas recently during the turn-over rites held at Camp Tolentino, provincial police headquarters, attended by Bataan Vice Governor Efren B. Pascual, Jr. and 10 mayors of Pilar, Bagac, Abucay, Mariveles, Orion, Morong, Hermosa, Limay, Orion and Samal.
While Balanga City and Dinalupihan town will receive reportedly a bigger-type of police vehicles to due to larger population next month.
Pizarro said the two police patrol cars currently in the service will be reinforced by the new vehicle to safeguard the safety and security of the residents and other civic and humanitarian activities in the fast growing municipality of Bataan.
Police visibility is the most effective crime prevention measure that ensures the feeling of security among peace loving residents and community leaders, Pizarro said.
She added that the prevailing serene atmosphere in the tourism–oriented town continues to draw foreign and local visitors to the Mount Samat National Shrine which also has recreational facilities like zipline, inland resorts and restaurants within its periphery as added attraction of the fast growing tourism-hub in Central Luzon.
