Bataan Governor Abet Garcia has estimated for the province of Bataan to achieve herd immunity within three months.
“We already have more than 200,000 vaccinated Bataan folks”, the governor announced during the opening of the 20th vaccination site of the province in Limay town on Monday.

“We are a medium-size province and in the next three months we can achieve that [herd immunity]”, he also said.
“We have to be fast especially now that there are already cases of Delta variant in the province”, he added.

“That is why we asked other LGUs in the province to establish vaccination sites in their respective territories and even private companies like Petron Bataan Refinery and San Miguel Corporation that provided this vaccination site here in Limay”, Garcia said.

“More vaccination sites will be established in the province in the days to come”, he assured.
Earlier, Garcia commended the provincial health office for working double time for the vaccination efforts in Bataan.
Additional 50,000 vaccines are set to be delivered to the province, said National Task Force Against Covid 19 Deputy Chief Implementer Secretary Vince Dizon who also graced the event.
