BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataeño engineers and scientists engaged in developing the water industry are invited to join the 2017 Manila Water Foundation Prize for Engineering Excellence.
Manila Water Foundation, in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology and the Philippine Technological Council, are looking for individuals who have committed in uplifting the community’s quality of life through sustainable and beneficial projects.
Deadline of nominations is extended to July 31, 2017.
The nationwide search is focused on engineers and scientists who are engaged in the fields of water, environment, sanitation and sustainability for the development of communities in the Philippines.
Five outstanding engineers and scientists will be recognized and each will receive Php 500,000, a specially designed trophy and medal. Potential awardees who have good moral character and at least 10 years in the service can be nominated.
In the meantime, employees of Manila Water Foundation, Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, technical working group/judging panels and their first degree relatives are not eligible for the nomination. Individuals who have violated administrative policies, rules and regulations and those who have pending cases are also not qualified.
