BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Passing the internationally acclaimed ISO 9001 re-certification of 2017 granted by the International Standards Certification (Global) FZLLC to the Bataan General Hospital (BGH) for their excellent Quality Management System, did not stop BGH head Dr. Gloria Baltazar from pursuing their vision of putting up the much needed hemodialysis and pediatrics buildings.
In an interview, Dr. Baltazar proudly said that all that’s listed in their vision are now in the pipeline and that they see to it that all of these are in congruence with the objectives of the provincial government in giving the best health services to our people.
She narrated that the hemodialysis building is almost complete and is just waiting for the licensing of the DOH to set the date of its inauguration by July of this year.
The fund used in the construction of the building came from the income of the hospital and while the building is still under construction, Dr. Baltazar simultaneously works on the whole package of 10 hemodialysis machines, water, river osmosis and other equipment as well as the well trained manpower that will operate said hemodialysis center.
In like manner, while the pediatrics building is already 50% constructed, Baltazar is busy working with the standard pool of medical residents who will man the center. They now have 5 ER family meds, 2 pediatricians, 1 anesthesiologist and 2 OB gynecologists as well as all the necessary pediatrics equipment for the said center.
Dr. Baltazar stressed that all patients who will undergo treatment in these new health service facilities especially on the hemodialysis will not shell out a single centavo nor shoulder any extra charges as long as they are covered by PhilHealth.
The BGH head also mentioned that it has been her dream for the province to have these much needed health service facilities because she knows how hard it is for our less privileged patients to obtain these expensive services from private doctors and hospitals.
Now that BGH will soon have these facilities, she believes that this will be a big help to our people. She even vouched that all their systems are computerized for customer satisfaction and that their charity wards are now air conditioned so that our patients would not feel degraded.
