BPPO conducts GAD seminar

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Bataan Parole and Probation Office (BPPO) conducted a Gender Awareness and Development (GAD) seminar to its forty six (46) clients last February 8 at Bahay Puso,Upper Tuyo, this City.

Chief Probation Officer Maria Victoria A. Badoy said in her opening message, “we want to impart to everyone that being Gender Sensitive is very important to everyone, in workplace and most especially in our family.

Ms. Rossanna Verdida of the Provincial Population Commission (POPCOM) discussed the following topics: Basic Gender and GAD Concepts; Kinds and Effects of Sexual Harassments; the characteristics, attributes, features and things or objects associated to men and women; Tanging Pagkakaiba ng Lalake at Babae and Sexual Rights

“Ang pagiging gender sensitive ay magsisimula sa ating mga tahanan, sa mga salitang ginagamit at itinuturo natin sa ating mga anak” Verdida added.

Ms. Imelda Vinzon also from POPCOM helped in facilitating the workshop where in participants actively took part.
