BPSU paper on mango production wins 2nd place

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) paper “Science and Technology Model Farm on Mango Production in Pampanga” was adjudged 2nd Best Paper in the Development Category in the recent 28th Regional Symposium on Research and Development Highlights held in Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija.

“The awarded Best Paper from CLSU was only .075 point higher to our paper”, said   Dr. Hermogenes Paguia, BPSU Director for Research and Extension, who presented the paper in the competition.

Another BPSU paper “Automated Depuration System as Post-Harvest Treatment to Expel the Ingested Impurities and Bacteria of Mussels” won 5th Best Paper in the Research Category.

The 28th Regional Symposium on Research and Development Highlights was in the 4th day of Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC) 1st Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA) event.

The CLAARRDEC is a conglomeration of 30 member-institutions  in Region 3 that include BPSU, responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluation, and technology transfer activities related to agriculture, aquatic, forestry, and natural resources.

The CLAARRDEC 1st FIESTA event was organized by CLSU, the consortium’s based agency.
