BPSU Smart Mango Team and Hope Behind Bars, CSC awardees

The Bataan Peninsula State University’s (BPSU) Smart Mango Team is Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region3 Pag-asa awardee, group category.
The awardee-members of Smart Mango Team are Vice President for Research, Extension, Training Services Dr. Hermogenes Paguia (project leader), Dr. Rowena Valerio (study leader), Dr. Rina Paguia (study leader), Lorna Roldan (member), and Cherilyn Ventura (member).

The program is a BPSU-led science and technology-based research project on mango farming aiming to boost production.
Meanwhile, BPSU’s Hope Behind Bar is also CSC regional winner of Presidential Lingkod Bayan award.
Dr. Bernadeth Gabor, BPSU Extension Office director, is project leader of Hope Behind Bars. With her at the program are Dr. Joanne Lobrino, Prof. Nomer Varua, and John Robert Garcia.
The awards given out are the highest and most coveted recognition given by the government to individuals or group of individuals who have excelled or shown utmost dedication and commitment to public service.

The three award categories are the Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Outstanding Public Officials and Employees or the Dangal ng Bayan, and the CSC Pagasa Award.
