Business trends in 2017

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The recently concluded Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) mobile learning series entitled “Business Trends in 2017” proved to be another blockbuster with an all-time high of more than 100 participants (than the usual 50 attendees), with Mr. Paulo Tibig, the Philippines Entrep Champ, as guest speaker held at The Plaza Hotel, this City.

Paulo Tibig, a prominent businessman and a Bataeno, said that it has always been his priority to set a date with his kababayans to share his business insights on what venture to consider from basic concept, to pledging upcoming business that have steady growth in new and identified gold mine. 

In the learning series, Tibig explained that getting into business is not easy, one needs proper knowledge, well thought plans, superior product/service and passion that will transcend to the highest level for them to have a good jumpstart.

The seven (7) top business ideas/trends that Mr. Tibig discussed were (1) Basic Instinct – such as rice retailing, meat shop, grocery, convenience store; (2) TLC  – or Tubig/water refilling, Laundry and Cleaning service; (3) Vroom, Vroom, Groom – barbershop, beauty salon and beauty products; (4) Lifestyle – disease product/services, health supplements/products, wellness and fitness programs, nutritional healthy meals; (5) Memories are Forever – photo and video services, event management (baptismal, birthday, wedding, funeral and souvenir shops); (6) E-Commerce – selling all products online, trending nowadays are the “buy and sell” online; (7) Service Contracting – most companies find the “outsourcing” scheme in their business operations more beneficial.
