She also disclosed that DTI-Bataan did not receive report of any establishment committing overpricing of goods.

“The media is a strong partner in promoting consumer welfare,” Cabahug said as she recalled saturation drives and monitoring visits to markets and stores together with the media.

During the ceremony, Cabahug also lauded the Philippine Information Agency-Bataan headed by Jose Mari Garcia and the Bataan Media Practitioners (BMP) for their communication support to inform the public on prices of goods during disasters.

She also extolled the Bataan Consumer Affairs Council which has been their constant partner in scouring markets and stores to check the prices, quality and supply of goods.
