Caribbean cruise to dock at SBMA

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Governor Abet Garcia, in one of his meetings with the press people excitedly informed the group about the coming of the Caribbean Cruise at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

The Governor sees the huge potential of said cruise docking at SBMA because usually the international ship carries around 15 thousand tourists, that despite the fact that it will be docking in SBMA, the Governor said that definitely, Bataan will be included in their destination.

Governor Garcia said that the plans are already in the drawing board, that as early as now, we should already prepare and enhance our tourist destinations especially those municipalities whose vision and mission are geared towards tourism, on how they will encourage/cater the influx of these humongous crowd.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tetchie Banzon-Enriquez, Provincial Tourism Officer, said that they will get the full details of the said cruise and coordinate with the SBMA Tourism and cruise operators in their meeting this October, and added that most probably, topping the list of destinations are Mt. Samat, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar and the beaches, though further preparations will be enforced after the meeting.
