MARIVELES, Bataan – China Bank, a Filipino bank established in 1920, the first privately owned local commercial bank in the Phil. catering to the banking needs of Chinese-Filipino businessmen, opened its 438th branch in the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
Top officials of China Bank and all the branch managers in Central Luzon said that they’ve been wanting to have a branch in Mariveles but could not find a good location and that the plan has been overturn with the opening of the different branches in CL that finally after 10 years, they are now settled in this beautiful and highly industrialized area. They also would like to thank Ms. Lilia Tamayo, owner of the building for choosing China Bank to establish in her property.
Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion of Mariveles, said in his message that they’re more than happy to welcome China Bank, one of the most respected and trusted financial institutions in the country which is an addition to the mushrooming number of investors in their growing economy.
On the other hand, Capt. Benjie Tancio, Chairman of the Board of Grand Innovasia Concept Corporation (GICC), one of the biggest investors in FAB together with Ms. Xiaojing Lou, GICC President., said that they believe that with the establishment of China Bank, it will give a strong commitment to cater to the personal quality services that will encourage their 100 Chinese employees to avail their corporate, commercial and wide range of domestic and international banking services.
Incidentally, the opening of China Bank coincides with the opening of Lilia Tamayo Realty Corporation and the office of the Mariveles Centennial Host Lions Club, of which Ms. Tamayo is the President.
