BALANGA CITY, Bataan – With its efforts to achieve Maturity Level 2 for the year 2017, the City Government of Balanga Human Resources Management (HRM) Office got the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence- HRM (PRIME-HRM) Bronze Award during the 2018 Continuing Professional Education for HRM Practitioners held on May 9-11 at Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental. Balanga City HRM Officer Cristina H. Apostol personally received the award.
Anchored on the theme: “The HR Practitioner: Rising Up to Today’s Challenges”, the said event was spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office No. III, in partnership with the Central Luzon Human Resource Management Practitioners.
The convention was attended by all Region 3 Human Resource Management Officers (HRMOs), designated HRMOs and HRM practitioners, personnel officers, administrative officers handling HR management actions, and agency heads.
Meanwhile, CSC Bataan Field Operations Director Edgardo C. Cruz who was a participant explained the process of Maturity Level 2 or the Process Oriented Human Resource.
“Human Resources has four core areas: the Recruitment, Selection, Placement (RSP), Performance Management (PM), Learning and Development (LD), and Rewards and Recognition (R&R). Each core area has indicators which include practices and procedures which the HR of each agency should comply or meet to be given the Bronze Award,” he said.
Additionally, he said that out of many agencies in the region, only three were given recognition including the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 3 and the Municipality of Pura, Tarlac.
