HERMOSA, Bataan – A huge development is now ongoing at a 2.8 hectare land just a few meters away from the Dinalupihan-Hermosa Exit of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) in this first-class town.

This was confirmed by former Bataan congressman and former Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chairman and administrator, Felicito “Tong” Payumo in a recent interview with

“I and my partner Atty. Ding Pascual, recently partnered with Northwalk Land Inc. to develop this area and build a branch of Northwalk Commercial Complex,” Payumo said.

Northwalk Land Inc. is an organization in the real estate agents and managers industry with offices in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

The area being developed is beside the branches of Nissan Bataan and Haima Cars Inc. in Barangay Palihan. Payumo, former Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) chairman, also added that a business process outsourcing (BPO) company is also interested to be its major locator along with a gas station company, popular coffee shop, retail stores and a fast food chain branch among others. Northwalk also has its branches in San Fernando City and Clark in Pampanga.

Meanwhile, just recently, Hermosa mayor Jopet Inton had a meeting with Payumo and talked about the recent developments in this fast-rising municipality.

Inton also had a dialogue with transport operators and talked about the possibility of having a transport terminal particularly for UV Express vans with a route from Balanga to other parts of Central and Northern Luzon.

One of Mayor Inton’s visions is to make Hermosa the center of commercial and industrial firms, being the site of the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park and also being accessible to Metro Manila, Subic Bay Freeport Zone and Clark Freeport. “We are expecting the arrival of more investors to put up shops in our town. This means more job opportunities and more income for our municipality,” Inton said.
