ORANI, Bataan – Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 1st Engineering District has announced the construction of the latest four-lanes diversion road from Barangay Tapulao to Roman Expressway worth P 300 million to start this year.
Engineer Erlindo R. Flores, Jr., district engineer, presented the technical and detailed plans of the road concreting project before Orani Mayor Efren “Bondjong” Pascual,Jr., Senator Cynthia Villar, former Senate president Manuel Villar, Jr. and local town officials which would provide an alternative route to reach the fast growing main thoroughfare of Bataan.
According to Engineer Flores, Mayor Pascual, municipal and barangay officials have welcomed the construction of the road from Curing Bridge in Barangay Tapulao in the national road to Roman Expressway which would provide great opportunities to farmers, small and medium entrepreneurs and residents to undertake productive business activities and the promotion of agricultural tourism and travel industry.
The DPWH has issued an initial fund of P 30 million for the mobilization of the project.
Mayor Pascual and local tourism council members have developed a comprehensive and strategic scheme of motivating local and foreign tourists to include the agricultural and forestry tourism program .
Orani town is developing the upland village of Tala as a great potential for agro-forest and nature parks destinations in the Northern Bataan.
