The Bataan Police Provincial Office has recorded no election-related incident as of today, May 10, according to Police Lieutenant Col. Ricardo Santiago, chief of Police Community Relations. He said the PNP is conducting regular inspection in all the province’s 167 polling centers.
Medical teams are on standby for the May 13 election and the public is advised to dial 911 for emergencies, Josefina Timoteo, head of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said.
A team from PDRRMO will be monitoring incidents during election day at the Provincial Election Monitoring Action Center located at PNP headquarters in Balanga City. Timoteo said rescue teams will be roving province-wide for faster monitoring and response.
Meanwhile, all vote counting machines were tested and sealed yesterday, Police Colonel Villamor Tuliao, director of Bataan Police Provincial Office said. All 167 polling centers are already fielded with security personnel from different police stations, including officers from Armed Forces of the Philippines, Tuliao said.
