BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The guest of honor at the formal opening of “Galing Bataan” Trade Fair yesterday, has brought changes to many lives in this city because of the numerous businesses he has put up.

The son of Angelita and Honorato Aquino, prominent entrepreneurs in the province whose businesses include the Plaza Hotel, Engr. Eusebio Aquino is a product of Balanga Elementary School and Bataan National High School.

Currently the President of Tyrethread Rubber Corporation, manufacturer of quality tyrethread materials nationwide, he emphasized that, “ako ay anak ng Bataan, dito ako ipinanganak, lumaki at nagkaisip, dito ako nagtapos ng pag-aaral, katunayan ang hotel na ito, dito dating nakatayo ang Arellano High School (Bataan National High School).”

He added that if Balanga City has the vision of being a university town, his corporation envisions to be among the country’s top companies able to market products abroad.

God-fearing, hardworking and simple, Engr. Eusebio remembers his parents’ teachings, “ang trabaho ay natural na kasama sa buhay, na namulat siya na ang trabaho at pagsasaya ay pwedeng magkasama, kaya nga daw work is play, that we should enjoy whatever work we have now.”

Aquino also said that he has learned how to dream, “sabi nga raw ng marami, if you want to dream, dream big;” and this helped him reach his goals in life.

As an engineer, he has gone to many places in the country, and whenever he is in one place visiting a project, he always thinks of the potential of Bataan, to be the number 1 province in the country in terms of commerce and tourism.

He believes that the way our local officials are leading the province, we’re almost there with our vision, that we should always remember that development should not be at the expense of our environment, “tayo ay taga-pangalaga lamang ng kalikasan para sa susunod na henerasyon.”

Hence, in celebration of the Araw ng kagitingan, it shows us the greatness of the locals of Bataan, that we are born heroes, ushering “Kagitingan at Pagmamahal sa Pilipinas para sa Tunay na Pagbabago.”
